We are so honored!! at the 2011 California Wine Festival in Santa Barbara participants voted on their favorite wines via an iPhone app. Of more than 350 wines available, attendees chose Cynthus 2005 Cab as No. 1 wine of the show and Cynthus 2001 Cab was selected as the No. 2 wine of the show.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON, Stagecoach Vineyard, Napa Valley
Cynthus Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from a hillside block of the Stagecoach Vineyard in Napa Valley. The grapes were hand picked and hand sorted to ensure only the best grapes were used to make the wine. We have chosen to produce a wine that reflects the terroir of the vineyard and the richness of the fruit. Our Cabernet Sauvignon has been fermented with extended contact with the skins and is being aged in French Oak for two years, adding layers of complexity along with accentuating the Stagecoach Vineyard pedigree of the wine.
Tasting Notes:
The Cynthus Cabernet Sauvignon continues our tradition of making a big, full bodied classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that is well-balanced and intense. As the vineyard continues to mature, the intensity of the fruit continues to concentrate and produce truly great wine. The nose has sweet aromas of smoky black cherry and cedar. These intense black fruit flavors marry with chocolate, vanilla, and toasted oak to create a complex, structured body. The rich texture integrates with the soft, silky tannins to produce a smooth, lingering finish that makes an elegant wine that is very food friendly.
